E-cigarettes is not only better for your health, it’s also better for your wallet. While the upfront cost of buying a starter pack is steeper than buying a pack of rollups, the cost of smoking e-cigs is 50-80% cheaper than smoking tobacco cigarettes because you only need to buy e-liquid moving forward.
If you purchase the liquid in bulk, you stand to gain even more savings. Of course, doing so necessitates the proper storage of e-liquid in order to preserve its quality and flavour. Believe it or not, liquid nicotine counts as a food product and thus, has a shelf life. These two tips will help keep your e-liquid tasting better for longer:
Keep it in the fridge.
Heat and light can degrade the quality and taste of liquid nicotine, so what better place to keep it than your refrigerator? Doing so drastically slows down the oxidation process, allowing the e-liquid to last much longer than if you kept it at room temperature.
Use separate bottles for short- and long-term storage.
Upon buying your e-liquid, transfer it immediately to an amber bottle before storing it in the fridge; the darker glass preserves the liquid better than clear ones. For your daily supply, just pour a small amount into a 10mL amber glass so the rest of your stock remains refrigerated.
